January 28th-30th 2010

Sorry these are late again I've been pretty busy, well lazy this week. I do start back at uni next week so I need my time to relax before I head back there!

28.01.10.

My boyfriend came over to mine today and it was really cool. We usually just chill out when he comes over. We both got the house to ourselves and I wish we had put it to good use and made some bacon sarnies now! We never though, probably because I'm too lazy these days. Ooops!

He brough Fallout 3 with him to play on my PS3 and I would have had a go, but I usually die on it, so I left it to him to play for me. Most of my trophies are down to him! But I told him what name I wanted for my character etc. We started a new game due to pretty much messing up the previous one with blowing up Megaton (or whatever it's called) so a new game was made. We're still sticking to the evil streak. Go us eh?

I also tried a new outfit look and hair. I put on my black skinny fits, blue studded emo/scene belt, black vest and my turquoise shirt over the top. I did it up when I went out but indoors I either took it off or undid the buttons. As for my hair I tried this look but instead of having my hair curled (because it can take upto 5 hours to do!) I decided on just sticking to straight hair. I ended up taking the braids out as they were annoying me when I tried to eat and it got a bit messy. BUT for the time I had it, it was pretty cool! I will deffo do my hair that way again.

I cooked chicken and chips for me and my boyfriend and it was yummy! I had jelly after mine which I had made earlier in the week and it was also very yummy!

I recieved an email from my work placement supervisor about some work he wanted me to do for when I go in on Monday, so I intend to get started and finished with it tomorrow.

29.01.10.

I woke up earlyish and got on with what I was set to do for my work placement work. What I needed to do was do research on magazines I could send my work into to get published, what they do and who I would contact to talk about getting published. It was a bit difficult but he said to do as much as I could, so I did 5 magazines all of them being different from one another.

Other than this it was the Celebrity Big Brother final! And that Alex Reid one. Angry much? I wanted Jonas to win. I won't even go into why I didn't want Alex to win. So yeah...

Anyhoo! I entered a competition on Barry M's website to try and win one of their Lip Lacquered Crayons! I'm hoping I win, fingers crossed for me eh?

Sad news for the day was finding out that Ugly Betty has been cancelled after season 4. While I'm hopeful that another company will take it on for season 5, I just can't wait to see what happens in season 4. I was just starting to REALLY love Ugly Betty and it reflecting on how I am/have been and what I want to achieve in the future and it's cancelled! Such a shame for such a great show!

I listened to Tim Shaw and watched How Not To Live Your Night for the rest of the night and then went to sleep.

30.01.10.

Today was very relaxing but annoying at the same time. I woke up with an ache and pain on the left side of my back. I must have pulled something in the night when I was sleeping so it's been killing me ALL day! It has obviously got better throughout the day and a relaxing bath with some muscle soak and listening to Tim Shaw's Rehab made it slighty better.

Anyhoo my boyfriend brought Fallout 3 with him again, alongside Oblivion. Both amazing games and I love playing Oblivion on my laptop. I haven't for ages because I haven't had the time, nor have I been in the mood.

Adam was pretty tired and due to me having a backache we both just relaxed and played games all day.

The biggest news of the day is MY CALENDAR ARRIVED! I ordered it on Monday night from Amazon and it's soooo cute! I wanted to get a Hello Kitty one but I couldn't find one for a good price so went in a search for a Poodle one, but I had the same problem so I just looked for a cute The Dog Collection one and came across the Siberian Husky one! I'm so glad I bought it and it was well worth the money! It was £6 something, including the delivery charges.

I put it up and set it to January, which is such a cute picture! I'm just sad that I'll only get a few days to admire it! The puppy is super cute and like I've already said, I'm glad I bought it.

I have considered buying a Siberian Husky puppy when I finish all my uni related stuff, get myself a job and either move out on my own or with someone else. I'm still thinking about it obviously as they are big dogs and I've only been used to small dogs. I'd miss being able to pick them up and carry/cuddle them all the time.

After getting my calendar in the post I ordered myself a leather case for my phone so I don't need to worry about it getting broken or damaged whilst in my bag. I need to get some lense stickers so that it doesn't get scratched, but I won't get them until I get my case in the post.

A funny time today was one of my friends from uni calling me while he watched The Blackout perfom on the Kerrang tour. It sounded pretty cool! The Blackout are great live and I have fond memories of when I saw them live the first time I saw Lostprophets.

Other than this I spent the rest of the night listening to Tim Shaw and watching Gok Wan on TV. Was a pretty good day with my boyfriend, we were just exhausted from lack of sleep and being in pain from sleep.

Anyhoo that is all for now!

Toodles!

My second haul!

I went shopping up town with my boyfriend today and it was sooo much fun! Neither of us had been up town since before Christmas so it was nice to be up there again. We went to loooads of places, but mostly the ones that we wanted to go to. So here is a haul of what I bought on the day.

I love Lush and was on the look for their new lip scrubs, especially the Bubblegum one, but sadly they had sold out and weren't getting anymore in stock until Thursday. I went in and decided to have a look around for anything new or old. I spotted some of the Valentines Day products and they are lovely! They have Magic Mushroom Bubble Bars which smell of strawberries and are in the shape of a red and white mushroom, Love Soap which smells like the Sex Bomb Ballistic and is the colour red, in a heart shape and with red glitter all over the top and finally The Ex Factor Ballistic which smells JUST like Butterball Ballistic and is in the shape of a gingerbreadman and is a light blue colour with a pink heart over it's chest. I bought one of these for how cute it looked and how lovely it smells. I haven't used it yet, I want to stock up on loads of them first, especially for £1.95! Not only did I get this in Lush but I also got my Mom and me some samples. I got my Mom some samples of Honey I Washed The Kids Soap and Porridge Soap. I also got us both a face mask sample, as we have wanted to get some for a while. I got myself Love Lettuce and my Mom Brazened Honey. We haven't tried them yet, but I think I'll try mine later.

After Lush we decided to go to a few more places for things I wanted to look at or buy, but on the way we took a detour into Superdrug and I am SO glad I went there now! That day I was on the hunt for smelling and possibly buying either (or both) Paris Hilton's Heiress and Britney Spears' Midnight Fantasy. I found Heiress in the sales for £10 in a 100ml bottle! What a bargain! Even some 30ml's aren't THAT low in price. They had about four or five on offer and I wish I had bought two bottles now! I intend to go back up at some point next week to try and get my hands on another bottle before they all go! The smell of it is very light and sweet and kind of reminds me of a lighter fragrance of Snow Fairy from Lush and Avon's Sweet Candy Bubble Bath. I was going to have this to pop in my handbag for when I'm on in the day or night, but I think I may just keep it to use when I fancy something sweet. I wouldn't want to worry about the bottle smashing.

Sooo after the detour to Superdrug we wandered off to a market that sells alternative, emo and gothic fashion. At the beginning of 2009 I bought some Dr Martens boots in a bright shiny red colour. They were sadly a size too small and I hadn't worn them in the first 4 months of purchase so I took them back and tried to get my money back but sadly the shop only offers credit or exchange and at the time none of the shoes in the shop were what I was looking for or wanted. I did try some shoes on but they didn't have my size (what luck eh?). So the credit only lasts a year so I decided to get it used that day if possible and I did! On some gorgeous leather ankle boots! They were originally £64.99 but the shop was having £10 off of all their shoes that day (except the ones in the sale) so they were only £54.99. Now, due to Dr Martens being expensive shoes and the ones I purchased being in the sale, my credit was £45.99 I just had to pay an extra £9.99 towards them. My boyfriend lent me the £10 and they were mine! I worried for a while that my Mom would hate the look of them, but as soon as I pulled them out of the box to show her she wanted a pair of her own. The leather is very soft and not only are they leather on the outside, but on the inside too! The soles of the shoes are rubber and my Dad commented on how they may need to get a change after a year or so of wearing them. When trying them on with my black skinny fit trousers, they look AMAZING! They remind of of something an indie band singer would wear, think Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs and they definatly remind of some of the shoes Ian Watkins (Lostprophets singer) has worn in the past. I love the picture I took wearing them with my trousers too, I think they look really cool! They're going to look wicked with a skirt and my trousers. Or maybe a white t-shirt and a long cardigan. They're going to be perfect for going out in on nights out, but I'd probably be really paranoid about them getting ruined.

After this we wandered off to an American sweet shop to buy ourselves some treats. I wasn't planning on getting anything apart from some Pez refills but when I spotted a Chococat Pez I just HAD to buy it. For £2.50 I didn't mind paying that much, especially when you got 2 Pez refills with it too! I also bought a few lollypops and was sucking one around town, it was great! I'm deffo going to be buying some more when I'm next there! It's always a treat going into that shop, but it's just a shame so much of their stock costs over £5 to buy.

My final purchase (apart from buying my boyfriend a CD for his late Christmas pressie) was some bracelets from New Look. It took AGES to get them but for the price I paid and discount I got off of it, I'm so glad. Basically there wasn't any of the bracelets around the shop on display, apart from them being on a models arm, which was on a very high shelf. I would have risked getting them myself but it may have looks suspicious so I asked a member of staff to get them for me. I did tell her which ones I wanted and she had a look in the stock room (or whatever it's called) to see if they had any there and she came out with a completely different pair to the ones I showed her. BUT in the end she went and got the ones off of the models arm and I went to pay for them. They were £6 but I only paid £3.20 for them (less than a £1 for each bracelet!) due to getting my 20% off with my student card. Good eh? They're pretty cute bracelets and will be nice to wear both in the day and on a night out.

So yeah, that was my haul for going up town shopping! It was a very fun day out and I can't wait to go up there again, mainly for perfume and sweeties!

Toodles!

January 22nd-27th 2010

Once again a huge sorry. I need to seriously keep up with my posts! I think I'm just being a bit lazy at the moment, but I will keep up with these! Especially when I'm back at uni. Anyhoo, on with the blog!

22.01.10.

Didn't do that much today. I had a few blogs to write so I did those out of the way and made a list of places I want to go and things I want to get on Saturday. So far the list has Lush things, perfume and some clothes/accessories. Lush has some new lip scrubs and I seriously want the Bubble Gum one! It apparently smells like Snow Fairy and tastes super sweet! It's £4.50 a pot but that would last me for ages! I want to smell Paris Hilton's Heiress perfume and Britney Spears' Midnight Fantasy perfume. They're meant to be super sweet smelling and I really want something to pop into my handbag when I go out. Especially for when I'm at uni all day!

This week has been full of Lostprophets, so full nearly everyday has had something to do with them! Monday the album came out, Tuesday I was preparing to meet them on Wednesday, Wednesday their Birmingham signing, Thursday nothing much TBH apart from boasting about Wednesday and Friday they didn't just do a live set on Radio One in the morning but also a special question and answers video chat on MySpace, which I attended and got lots of my questions answered! I am so chuffed!

Basically I asked the band loads of questions to do with both the band and them personally. I asked "Luke where are you from?", "Tea or coffee?", "Dirty Sanchez or Jackass?", "Lee what is your favourite PS3 game?", "Stuart which band would you love to produce?" and possibly more but I can't remember them.

Later on I watched Sirvinya (Becky) on BlogTV for a few hours and it was very cool! Got to ask her lots of questions to do with make up and even requested some reviews. I went under the username Broken20 as BrokenProphet was too long apparently. But what I loved about it the most was that she was in her PJ's! They were froggie ones too! Go girl!

To finish off my night I listened to Tim Shaw's Rehab on BRMB. Tim Shaw has been my favourite radio DJ since he started The Asylum on Kerrang Radio. Shame he still isn't there, I loved listened to rock music in the advert/music breaks. Pop music isn't really my kind of thing. BUT to be fair, Kerrang Radio has gone down hill since I was at school and college. The music is awful.

After that I went to bed!

23.01.10.

Today I went shopping! YAY! I went with my boyfriend and here is the haul from the day. We both had a great day and it was a nice change going up town, as we hadn't been since the end of November. Sooo we pretty much went everywhere and anywhere that we wanted to go or caught our eye. My boyfriend didn't buy anything but I bought enough for us both!

I went into Lush to look for the Bubble Gum lip scrub and they had totally sold out! I got to have a look at the tester though and it smells AMAZING! They said they wouldn't have anymore in until next Thursday, so I'll just wait until I go up town next to get my hands on one. I also intend to get some more samples too, especially soap and lotion ones.

I had a look in H&M for a snood for my Mom but they had sold out so I just had a quick look around and saw a cute Hello Kitty jumper. It was like a denim colour with a dark blue stencil of Hello Kitty's face. It appearing to be a baggy bat wing style jumper and I was going to try it on and possibly buy but I realised that 1. It's kind of childish and 2. I don't really need it. From doing that I saved myself £19.99. Maybe next time, but I doubt they'll have any left!

When we got home we chilled out for a few hours and then we went to my boyfriend local pizza place to get something to eat. He paid for us both and we got a HUGE chicken and sweetcorn pizza and chips. It was very yummy and I only wanted to get it due to how much I had walked around town and that I was starving! I'm so glad we got pizza, it was a pretty good end to an amazing day!

24.01.10.

As usual I chilled out due to it being a Sunday. Well, that and changing my bed and getting a bath/washing my hair. Other than this I have my second coupan for the Barry M makeup and make up bag from Superdrug! Woohoo! I only need two more and I can go down to my nearest Superdrug and get my hands on one. £20 worth of make up for free? Bargain! Well technically it's not free due to having to pay for the News Of The World.

I was a tad bit dissapointed today after hearing the results of the album charts. The Betrayed got to number 3 and was beaten by albums that are pretty old now. It seems like a stitch up from fans. Just dissapointed about it as I think Lostprophets deserved the number 1 spot. Can't do nothing about it though, so just have to put up with it.

I went to bed pretty early due to having placement in the morning and I didn't want to be late for it.

25.01.10.

Well I woke up today to a text message from my placement supervisor saying that he had cancelled me going to placement today, due to him having a cold and not wanting to pass it onto me. Which was very considerate of him! He told me he's going to give me some work to do over the week, so that should be good!

For the past few hours I was awake I was going to write some blogs but to be honest I never got round to it. Oops! Instead I played Facebook games, which I appear to be getting addicted to, especially Pet Ville and Farm Ville.

After a while I got ready and headed to my boyfriends house for the day. We went to the shops after all the school kids had come out of school and gone home and we bought lots of food goodies! Nom! Got some yogurt, Lucozade and pizza. My boyfriend also bought me some cute little Puppy In My Pocket doggies! Big kid, I know but they were down half price so why not?

For the rest of the day we chilled out playing games and watching TV. Before going home from my boyfriends my phones sim card suddenly stopped working and due to upgrading my phone recently I realised that Orange had turned it off and I was needing to start using my new phone and sim card.

When I got home I tried to sort it out but Orange had shut their offices for the night, so I'd have to wait until the morning to get my phone up and working again. It felt strange not having my phone working and even more strange that I would need to start getting used to using my new phone.

26.01.10.

I got my phone sorted today, yays! It's so great and when I went out food shopping today all I could do it post Facebook posts on it. Was so fun to do! I could also check out who was saying what to me.

Anyhoo so I woke up earlyish to sort my phone out and had asked my Dad the previous night if he would give me a lift to the shops to buy the food I needed to get. I spent £20 on food and have enough to last me a month or so.

I enjoy going food shopping, especially when bargains are there to be taken! I bought some yummy BBQ chicken chunks from Iceland and they taste AMAZING! I'm going to be stocking up on those when I go shopping next time.

Whilst I was shopping for my frozen stuff at Iceland I had a look around the shops to see what the clothes were like and I saw a gorgeous dress in Select for £18. Of course I have my student discount so it would be down to £16.20. Well, that's if my calculations are correct. I also had a look in Superdrug for Barry M's new Lip Lacquer Crayons. They come in a variety of colours and cost £4.95 each. I have my eye on the cherry red. So anyhoo I had a look for them but Superdrug hadn't yet got them in stock so I'll be keeping my eye out for them! Might do some swatches in the shop, take a picture and show you on here!

Also before going shopping I headed to uni to get my results back from a group presentation I did. I was worried I would have failed but I got 75%! I am so chuffed but at the same time I feel bad. One of my friends was 1 percent off of a pass and I'm pretty pissed off about it. She did so great in that presentation, I feel she did even better than I did! She did fab and what is 1% anyway!?

After going shopping I came back home to put everything away. It was a big job to do, but it got done! For the rest of the day I messed about with my new phone putting numbers in and sorting out which ringtone I wanted, which I decided would be a Lostprophets song (typical!).

I might actually get a holiday this year! I'm so chuffed if I do, I seriously need one. I haven't had one for nearly 5 years. That's too long without getting away from here.

The new series of Shameless started tonight and it's pretty good. Some of the stories they have are a bit surreal but that's what makes TV to be honest. Some of that stuff might actually happen in places in the UK but I doubt it does. Debbie isn't in Shameless anymore, which has surpised me! I totally forgot that Karen was pregnant too! Liam is a little shit, but in a smart way. I watched the second episode too and it looks pretty cool!

That was pretty much all for that day.

27.01.10.

I cleaned all upstairs today and I had the house to myself while people were out shopping so it was nice to clean in peace and quiet. I did it later than usual though due to getting hooked on Shameless and Facebook games. Those games will mess me up if I decide to replace uni work with them. Oops!

I love cleaning the bathroom the most whenever I do it, as it always looks sparkly and clean! I love doing the bath the most as I always get myself a bath when it's been cleaned. I had a lovely bath with some almond and melon bath milk and a few small chunks of Butterball from Lush. It calmed me right down and smelt lovely!

I have to admit that I am pretty disgusted with Select's clothes website. One of the clothes models they have on there at the moment looks anorexic. What kind of influence is that on young girls and teenagers who more than likely look at the website to buy and look at clothes? I am very disgusted and I have considered emailing Select about the matter but to be honest I don't expect a reply or for them to care. The pictures are done and posted on the site now and I doubt they are going to change anything from a couple of complaints. I know someone from a forum I post on has complained and I'm so glad someone else is in agreement to my feelings on this matter. It's very upsetting to see.

After my bath, getting dry and drying my hair I didn't have much time to relax or rest as I had to sort out some stuff in my room, which I did in about an hour but I soon turned my sorting attention to the office, which looks like a bomb has hit it! It's a little bit more tidy now, but it needs more work of course.

That was about it for the day, was so busy!

Beauty Favourites

Taken from Sirvinya's blog.

What's your favourite eye shadow colour to wear?
Probably blue to be honest as it suites me pretty well. If not blue then black when I do a smokey look.

What's the one product you wouldn't leave the house without?
Barry M Lip Gloss Wands in Bubblegum Pink.

What's your favourite make up look - high drama OR natural?
Depends, I don't wear make up unless I fancy it or I'm going out somewhere special. But when I do, depending where I'm going depends on my make up.

Which feature do you play up the most?
My eyes.

Which feature do you try to downplay/cover up?
Nothing really.

Your favourite make up brand, if you could only pick ONE to exist?
Barry M.

Which product have you repurchased over and over again?
Miss Sporty Clear Mascara.

Which product would you NEVER repurchase and why?
Ermmm probably Rimmels yellow nail polish. It is seriously crap and stains ones nails.

One beauty treatment you would ALWAYS pay to have done?
Waxing probably.

One beauty treatment you would NEVER pay to have done?
Ermmm... I dunno!

One beauty trick you would share with everyone?
White eyeliner on the waterline makes your eyes look wider/bigger.

Best advice you've ever been given regarding beauty or make up?
Ermmm probably one from my Mom not to use mascara as it can ruin your lashes. I only use a clear mascara, which is pratically a gel. I like to think I have better lashes than most this way.

Pass this quiz on! I enjoyed doing it!

January 21st 2010

Today has been pretty exciting! Lostprophets did a live questions and answers on MySpace. Basically you logged onto either Twitter or Facebook and asked the guys questions over a live feed.

I of course was on it from start to finish and got a few of my questions answered, such as "Where are you from in the UK Luke?", "Coffee or tea?" and "Jackass or Dirty Sanchez?" The answers were "From Birmingham, Redditch area.", mostly coffee and Dirty Sanchez.

Other than this today I listened to Lostprophets on Radio 1 for a while and it was pretty cool! I also contacted my placement supervisor about my placement card (to get into the building) and a possible change of time I get to my placement Monday.

Tomorrow I'm going out with my boyfriend shopping, so I made of list of places I want to go to and things I would like to buy. Keep your eyes peeled for a haul tomorrow night or Sunday throughout the day.

I'm going to be looking for testers of Paris Hilton's Heiress perfume as I have watched from YouTubers that it smells sweet and like Bubblegum, which is PERFECT for me! I'm also going to be looking for testers on Britney Spears' Midnight Fantasy, as once again I have heard from YouTubers that it smells like blueberries. Another perfect smell for me.

I intend to be starting my YouTube page soon, which will have a blog under this username for it.

Other than this, all I have done today is watch Bottom, which has made me laugh. It always does to be fair.

Anyhoo, that's all for now!

Toodles!

January 20th 2010

You want to know what the secret was about today? Drum roll please!

*Does drum roll on table*

I MET LOSTPROPHETS TODAY!!!

And it was amazing! I have met them before back in 2006 when they were doing a signing for Liberation Transmission. It was so cool and I got my LT album signed and pictures of all the band, especially of Stuary and Ian who made me laugh that day.

But this time I got my The Betrayed album, It's Not The End Of The World limited editon vinyl and a picture I made with my Twitter and blog username on it signed. Not only did I get my picture signed, but I also got a picture of Ian holding it and doing a pose for me! BEST THING EVAR! Apart from meeting them of course. I intend to use it for my Twitter picture in future, but I'm just paranoid about people stealing it, even though it's both copyrighted and has my full name on the picture.

Anyhoo to get into the signing you needed a wristband and HMV were only giving 400 away so I woke up at 5.30am to get ready, relax and get my arse up town! My Dad was lovely enough to give me a lift and pick me up when I was finished. I must have to HMV at about 8.43am and the shop was opening at 9am to give the wristbands away. I ran over to the store and got in line, which wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be! I waited out in the cold, my feet and nose going numb and finally got my wristband, quickly shoving it into my bag so no one could try and nab it off of me! I met up with my Dad after this and went home.

I had a lovely surprise when I got home, it was my new phone! I took it out of the box and had a play about with it, it is gorgeous! Nice soft baby pink colour and the screen is huge! The camera isn't as good as my other phones (Sony Ericsson C902) but I intend to keep that as my phone until my new contract switches over and also as my camera until I get a digital camera. I will get pictures of the phone when I start to use it. I took pictures of it on Wednesday, but they came out bad to be honest.

Anyhoo after relaxing at home for about 5 hours, it was time to leave and get back up town for the signing, which started at 5pm. My Dad once again offered to give me a lift, which was very helpful! I got to the shop at around 4.30pm to make sure I got a good place near the front etc etc.

Due to the band being in Wales for the day performing at their old school, getting stuck in traffic and apparently (according to Lee Gaze) getting stuck in mud the band arrived nearly 2 hours late. But I wasn't bothered to be honest, it was a free event and I was waiting in the shop. I wasn't warm though to be honest, my feet were numb and hurting.

The only annoying part about waiting was the fact I was surrounded by annoying school kids. It was strange though as the first signing and first time I met Lostprophets I was just about to finish school. But why they were annoying is they were either winging about Lostprophets being late, winging about the album being played over and over in the shop or bumping into me from acting stupid. Of course, they're only kids but after bumping into me once they should know better to behave and not do it again. Another thing that was kinda annoying was every kid stood around me was knocking over DVD's and CD's from leaning against them. I leant against them too, but I didn't put my whole body wait against it, otherwise IT WOULD have fell too.

Other than this, getting on 7pm I finally got my chance to see the guys. They were signing anything, which was amazing! I just wish I had taken ALL my CD sleeves with me, even LT to get signed again.

The order the boys sat in was: Lee, Mike, Ian, Stuart and Luke. Jamie wasn't there due to his wife expecting their baby, which by the way was a baby boy. Nice one Jamie!

Anyhoo, Lee said hey to me and I asked if they could sign all my stuff and he said, "Of course we will."

I moved on to Ian and asked, "Hey could you please have a picture with my sign? It's for Twitter you see." To which he replied, "Go on then!" and he posed for the picture. I would put a copy of it up on here, but I'm too paranoid to.

Then I moved onto Luke after being told to keep the que moving, he started to a conversation with me and was asking me how I was, that I must be freezing and thanks for coming to the signing.

I walked out of the signing, clutching all my things and looking at the photo I took. It was perfect and exactly how I wanted it to be! Ian holding my sign, a unique picture for me to keep forever!

After this I went to meet my Dad and bought chinese as a thanks for him helping me out throughout the day and because we were both too lazy to cook.

Amazing day! I have the picture of Ian as my current and new phones wallpaper. It looks wicked!

I can't wait to go see them in February, which will be my fifth time seeing them live.

You can tell I'm a huge Lostprophets fan can't you?

Anyhoo, that's enough for me. I'm gunna go watch some Bottom and relax for the rest of today. I will of course be posting about it later on.

For now toodles and take care!

January 19th and 21st 2010

Before I start typing and you realise that the 20th is missing out of the title, it is on purpose. I have a HUGE blog to post about for January 20th so keep your eyes peeled for it if you want to know what it's about.

So anyhoo apologies again for not updating everyday, have been super busy this week, especially on Wednesday.

19.01.10.

Today was pretty strange and slightly annoying. I was set to get ready, head over to Carphone Warehouse and get my upgrade sorted. Instead I ended up doing it over the phone and it was much simpler and I got the phone I wanted! Score!

Carphone Warehouse really annoyed me! Last Friday I had asked them both on the phone for two different stores and when I went to one of those stores if I could get the contract I wanted and the specific phone I wanted and they said yes, but that they would need to order the phone in for me, which is fair enough. I then asked what day I could go back to the store and sort it out they said Tuesday. SO I called today and asked them about it and was basically being told at both of the original stores I rang the complete opposite of what I was told Friday. So in the end I just ordered the phone on the telephone.

It took the piss, but I got it sorted! I'm just sad that Carphone Warehouses staff can't get the facts straight, I stated clearly what I wanted and they gave me answers... Just the wrong ones. Very dissapointing, but I won't change who I do my mobile phone business with because Phones 4 U annoy the hell out of me! Their staff are rude and aren't helpful.

There rant over! Apart from that I finished watching Ugly Betty Season 3 tonight. OMG AT THE END! I couldn't stop screaming at the TV throughout the last 4 episodes. Can't wait for Season 4 to start in the UK!

I went to bed pretty early due to what is happening on Wednesday. Eeeeee cannot WAIT!!!

21.01.10.

Yays! Got to see my boyfriend today, he came over to mine and we had a pretty chilled day. He brought Fallout 3 and Moon with him, so he played Fallout 3 for a while and we put the special features of Moon on before we had dinner.

Watch Moon if you haven't already, it's an amazing movie! I have mentioned this in a previous blog.

Anyhoo, I got to show him my new phone and the stuff from Wednesday (I want to keep it a secret from anyone reading until I post the blog next) and it was allll good!

I love my new phone, it's cute and pink and a touch phone! WOO!

Anyhoo, we got the house to ourselves and it was also bloody freezing! I just got into bed and kept warm. I also realised Wednesday and today how annoying wearing a playsuit is! You have to undo the whole thing just to have a pee! I mean, what would happen if I was wearing it up town and I wanted to pee? I'd have to try and undo the whole thing just to go peeee! It's crazy! But at least I look pretty in it eh?

I made us both sausages, eggs and chips for dinner and it was lovely! My Mom only bought the sausages the day before and we'd already scoffed 6 of them. They tasted amazing! I wish I'd cooked two extra ones (one for each of course).

As I said earlier, we played Fallout 3. Well, my boyfriend did I just watched. I'm hopeless at the controls! Anyhoo, the character has my name, epic hair and a bad attitude! We decided to have her as an evil character *sniggers* but we agreed she wouldn't be nasty or kill her father and we helped Butch's mother because our character knows what it's like not to have one.

I also put on Planet Terror at one point and everytime Freddy Rodriguez came on screen (El Wray) I was oooing and awwing. I love him soooo much! He just looks so small and adorable!

*clears throat* Anyway, out of Freddy stance. That was pretty much all we did that day! Was pretty cool and a relaxing way to chill out after such a busy week.

January 18th 2010

Today has been busy, busy, BUSY! I woke up at 11.30am so I could watch some Ugly Betty and then get ready to go and check out of my placement for uni.

I got ready and wore my skinny fit jeans, a jumper, my brown bomber jacket and my black boots. Speaking of my skinny fit jeans, this time last year they didn't fit me but after going on a new years diet last year, they fit so lovely now! I'm so chuffed as they will look amazing, especially the new clothes I have bought lately.

Anyhoooo back to the placement!

I got there and spoke to my placement supervisors about what I would be doing, stuff to do with uni and when I will be starting, which is next Monday! I seriously can't wait! They gave me loads of tips and information on what I can use for my work. I am working at an online magazine and will be writing stuff about local things and various other stuff.

The best news is, I will be getting published and one of the supervisors said he is going to help me get my work into more magazines to help me gain a job and a publisher for my book when it's finished.

It is soooo exciting! I need to sort loads of stuff to do with it tomorrow, like call my placement tutor, the head of work placements and more things.

Other than that, after my placement meeting I went to my boyfriends for the rest of the day.

LOSTPROPHETS fourth album came out today! For those who don't know about it, it's called The Betrayed. I'm going to do a blog for it, sooo keep your eyes peeled for it!

So at my boyfriends we just chilled out, I was playing Facebook games on my laptop whilst we listened to The Betrayed. Later on he cooked me some dinner as he had already eaten and not long after it I started to fall to sleep on his lap whilst he played some other games.

I came home from his about an hour ago and I am seriously shattered! I have Ugly Betty season 3 on again at the moment and thinking about tomorrow. I'm going shopping for the day and it should be pretty good.

So that's all for now!

Sunday 17 January 2010

January 17th 2010

Soooo today is Sunday and as usual nothing much happens. Pretty much all I have done today is wake up, watch The Young Ones, get some cereal do some blogs, play some Facebook games, watch YouTube videos, get a shower, moisturise, dry my hair, get some dinner and now I'm watching Ugly Betty season 3.

I wrote four blogs to catch up from the days I missed updating what has been happening and also two hauls.

I have missed watching The Young Ones, so it was nice to be able to watch it again! My favourite is Vyvyan, he just has soooo many funny moments in both series one and two! I might watch it again on Tuesday when I'm relaxing.

Right now I'm watching Ugly Betty season 3, which my boyfriend bought me for my birthday. I didn't watch the end of the season properly when it was on Channel 4 and didn't pay too much attention due to being busy with uni work. Therefore I shall be watching this season a few times in the new week or two.

I'm just so glad I have something new to watch, most of my DVD's are boring me loads lately, I need new stuff!

Anyhoo that is all for today.

January 12th-16th 2010

Have to say a HUGE sorry for not posting daily for the past 5 days as I have been pretty occupied with stuff but I'm going to explain ALL of what happened the days I was away in one huge blog post. I'm just going to keep each part short, sweet and to the main point of the day, so here goes!

12.01.10.

As I posted here I went shoppping! I also handed in my creative writing essay and the night before was pretty shakey about whether or not it was good enough to get a first. So, I have realised the thought that I probably won't get a first, so I just pray that I get a 2:1 instead.
So with shopping I went with my Dad after handing in my essay for a good look around at the sales and what nice things I could get. Since Christmas I have realised that I need to watch my money and just buy things that I need or really want. This isn't including wash stuff and make up, as I hardly wear make up and have enough was stuff to last me ages. If you're interested in what I bought check out this blog post with my first haul.
After shopping on the way back to the car my Dad and I were pretty hungry and were feeling a bit too lazy to cook so we headed to KFC and I bought us something to eat. It was very yummy and we spoke about various things, especially about going to France for a holiday soon.
When I got home I tried on ALL the clothes I bought and the clothes my Mom has bought me for my christmas and birthday presents and showed them off to my Dad. Blog here about those clothes.

13.01.10.

I woke up today and realised that I didn't have any work to do and it felt really good, but in a way it was a pain. If it wasn't for me having to clean all the upstairs of the house and get a bath, wash my hair etc then I wouldn't have known what to do with myself that day!
Every two weeks on a Wednesday I clean and vaccum bedrooms, bathroom and the office. I enjoy doing it and always have a DVD or the TV on for something to listen to while I do it.
I also always wash my hair Wednesday's, otherwise I would look an absolute mess on Thursdays.
This was pretty much all I did Wednesday. I was meant to get around to ordering The Betrayed, but I obviously never did.

14.01.10.

Sadly, my boyfriend couldn't come over to mine today due to the bloody snow and while I was happy that I knew he was safe and not getting hurt by slipping in the snow, it really annoyed me! I just couldn't wait for the snow to go away so that I could see him again.
Some good news is that my work placement called me about going to see them for a meeting about the placement on Monday. I can't wait! It's going to be wicked! I have to miss seeing my boyfriend for a few hours, but he won't mind, it's compulsory pretty much due to uni wanting second year students to do a placement and I'm pretty glad to! I'm going to get published! The placement told me how they will be putting my writing work up on their website for everyone to see! I'm so excited and crossing fingers that I can land myself a job there. Another great thing about my placement is that I can wear WHATEVER I want! Most people at uni have to wear suits, so I'm glad I'm not in the same position.
Other than this I also ordered The Betrayed! FINALLY! I'm crossing my fingers that it arrived two days earlier on Saturday. I will keep you posted.

15.01.10.

Today was pretty cool. I called my uni about a few things and found out some information about my local swimming baths and I intend to get that sorted out for next week.
Other than that I had been planning on getting some other stuff sorted, but sadly I couldn't so I plan to get it done throughout next week.
Went out for a meal and it was great! Have an amazing chicken burger and chips and I thought I was going to POP! Also shared a yummy sharing desert with my Dad and it was amazing! We had profiteroles filled with custard, vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate sauce, rocky road cake, fakes and some straw thingies. Was so yummy!
Finally went shopping for some food odds and ends and it was just a great day.
Sadly I wasn't feeling very well early hours of Saturday morning, so I didn't get to sleep until about 3am, even though I was tired around 2am. I eventually got to sleep but kept waking up in the middle of the night feeling hot, having a tummy ache and wanting to keep drinking water. My Dad blamed it on all the food.

16.01.10.

I finally got to see my boyfriend! YAYS! The snow has pretty much gone away. I woke up a bit late due to not feeling well early hours (see 15th January 2010) so I woke up about an hour late. I got a bath, got dressed and ready and set off to meet my boyfriend. My Dad gave me a lift to save me getting late.
I finally got my hands on Ugly Betty Season 3, my birthday present from my boyfriend! I intend to watch it on Sunday and throughout next week! I haven't watched the end and I can't wait to see Henry again!
We pretty much played games, watched stuff on TV and DVD's and chilled out. We got to see the alternative ending to Terminator 2 and it's pretty cool, but the original is kind of better. If you haven't seen it, I'm not going to ruin the surprise for you.
We messed around on GTA IV and kept doing various suicidal bombings, most being in taxi's and other peoples cars. It was hilarious! I filmed some, but I don't know whether to put them up on YouTube or my Facebook. Any recommendations, just leave me a comment!
Eventually my boyfriend went home and I chilled out for the rest of the night flicking through the latest Avon book. Have seen some things I might buy and will post about these on Sunday's blog.

Anyhoo, that's pretty much what happened and I shall keep you posted once a day as usual. Have loads of stuff happening next week so I will have LOADS of post about!

Christmas/Birthday clothing haul

For 2009 Christmas and my 20th Birthday my Mom offered to order/buy me some clothes that I wanted from a catalogue she uses and I chose two Fearne Cotton pieces and a Peaches For PPQ piece and I love them all SO much!

I've been meaning to post about this since Tuesday when I recieved the last item I ordered, but I sadly haven't got round to doing it, due to relaxing from uni work being over and being a bit busy trying to sort my work placement out.

Sooo here is the beautiful clothes that I got from my Mom.

These are the two pieces by Fearne Cotton and they are the taffeta puff ball skirt and the floral jersey t-shirt. They were both in the sale, the skirt originally being £45 and the t-shirt originally being £22 but my Mom saved a MASSIVE £42 as they were down to £14 and £11!
The skirt is a beautiful blue colour and when the material hits the light it goes into a purply colour. It's very pretty and although it's probably for nights out I chose to use it for both in the day and at night, depending on the occasion. You need to wear the skirt on the waist and FC wears it with a black long sleeved jumper in the picture on the website I ordered it from. I don't have a jumper so when trying it on I wore a t-shirt instead and it looked really nice. I also wore it with black tights, perfect for a night out!
The t-shirt has such a gorgeous patter on it! A pretty red and green flower pattern that repeats all over it. While it is a gorgeous t-shirt, it's only flaw is that it is thinner than I thought it was going to be but it doesn't really bother me, as I think I will be wearing a cardigan, blazer or waistcoat over the top of it for both day and night occasions. The t-shirt also have a vest underneath to wear as well as the t-shirt, which is nice as without it my bras would be VERY visable. FC wears the t-shirt with grey skinny fit jeans in the picture on the website and this is probably what I'll wear it with too, as well as shorts and skirts. This is going to be great for spring and summer, especially due to it being thin!

The piece I had from Peaches for PPQ is a gorgeous all-in-one playsuit and was down from £39 to just £16 so my Mom saved £23! Bargain!
When I ordered the playsuit online I began to wonder how it worked for getting it on and doing it up, as I had never owned a playsuit or looked at one in the shops before but when it arrived it all made perfect sense! The playsuit has a small zip down the middle of the back and there are two black bow buttons at the back of the neck part. They are soooo cute! As you can see the top of the playsuit is striped and is a light reddy orange colour and a light coffee cream colour and black shorts. The shorts are amazing and have pockets! Perfect when out to keep odds and sods in. The t-shirt is very warm and the sleeves are quite baggy at the bottom, which I like as it means I can pull the sleeves over my hands to keep them warm in the cold weather. I'm going to be wearing this for both in the day and at night. Perfect to wear with black tights and black heels or flats. I would say boots, but I'm not 100% sure. When I tried this on for the first time my Dad said it brought out my French routes (from his side) and all I needed to complete the look was a black beret, which I am thinking of buying!

So, that was my Christmas and birthday haul! Overall everything came to £41 in the sale, but if it was all at full price it would have come to £106. So my Mom saved £65! What a bargain eh? Especially for celebrity inspired/designed clothing.

I haven't worn these out yet, but I intend to sometime in the next few weeks!

Friday 15 January 2010

My first haul!

This has been due late for a couple of days and I have LOADS to talk about from the past few days too, but sadly I've been too busy having my well deserved break from uni work to post. So now I am!

Basically I went shopping on Tuesday after handing in my essay as I wanted to get some new things for like when I go out and for the cold weather.

SO here is a haul with pictures and prices of the stuff I got!

My first purchase for the day was this tunic from Select. It has a sort of tie dye pattern of various colours (red, blue, green, yellow and black). It was £18 but was in the sale for £9. I tried it on (just to make sure it fit) and it was perfect! It has a belt around the middle, with 3 buckles on it and while I usually loathe the belt around the waist I really love the way it showed off my figure. I had wanted this for a while, since I saw it on Select's website but at the time I never had enough money to buy it. I purchased it with the £10 my brother gave me for my birthday.
When I tried this on in the shop and later on when I got home I was wearing my denim shorts with black tights and with that it looked great for both going out in the day and for a night out. I tend to wear both clothing for in the day and at night out for both occassions, so this will be worn at uni and out with friends (either day or night). BARGAIN at £9!

One of the last purchases I made was this beautiful jumper from New Look. It's a fuscia colour and has "London", "Paris" and "New York" written across it, which you can see in the picture. The jumper has a wide v neck and due to it being very baggy (and a size too big for me) the shoulders drop down to the tops of my arms, which is what I like! I have been search of a jumper that would do that and look great and of course I found it. I tried it on but I obviously didn't find out it was that sort of jumper until then and double checked with one of the workers in the shop. It wasn't in the sale so it was it's full price of £25 but due to me being a student and having a lovely student card I got 20% off! Anyone who loves New Look and wants to take advantage of this extra 10% off you better do it soon as it finishes in February! GET SHOPPING! So I paid... I dunno I'm crap at maths, so if you really want to know get your calculator or math head on. I'm seriously rubbish at maths!

My second and last purchases were a black vest and white and green swim shorts from New Look and some underwear from Peacocks.
The vest was £4 but I got 20% off of it so it was £3 something and the swim shorts were in the sale from £7 to £2 but of course I couldn't get 20% off due to them already being lowered. The vest is a lovely fit and I bought it to wear underneath the jumper I bought from New Look. When trying them on, they both looked great together and will be perfect to wear for any occasion and season. As for the shorts I bought the swim set of these back in 2008 but throughout last year New Look were selling the set in the sale, which they obviously didn't shift until recently when all they had left was these shorts. I wouldn't have bought them, but due to a hot washing machine and the materical of the design the silver pattern got ruined and now it's like sticky on both the shorts and bikini top. Sooo seeing as the shorts were only £2 I decided to buy another pair. I'll be on the lookout for another top!
The underwear I bought from Peacocks, as you can see there are three pairs, which were "buy two get one free!" so I got a white and red star pair and two Minnie & Mickey Mouse pairs as I couldn't find another pair I liked. The star pair was £2.50 and the M&MM ones were £3 each, so I got the star ones free and ALSO a 10% discount off them. So I only paid £5 something.

That's pretty much all I bought and I don't think I did too bad to be honest and on the way back to the car with my Dad to go home we went to KFC and got something to eat, I bought for us both and we had a nice chat about France and we're talking about going on holiday there when I get time off of uni. RESULT!

Monday 11 January 2010

January 11th 2010

I have done quite a bit today, especially to do with uni stuff.

I am still reading through my essay and I'm on page 23 out of 30 at the moment. I still need to send it to my boyfriend to read. Oops! >.<

I also called the lady who is sorting me out for my work placement to find out what is happening with it. She has my number and she said she's going to find out the dates for me, yay! I hope I find out soon as I want to get it done and out of the way but I also want some writing experience. I was reading in January's Company Magazine about tips on getting into magazines and they're pretty good! I'll be following up on those in the summer when I have time.

Other than that, I stayed at home again today as my boyfriend wanted me to stay here and do my work instead of going to his for the day.

I've also been chilling out on and off on Twitter and Facebook. I'm getting addicted to Twitter again and it is super cool that YouTubers that I subscribe to and follow on Twitter are Tweeting to me! I've Tweeted to Fearne Cotton but I didn't get a reply. I really want to Tweet to Ian Watkins and Dainton from Dirty Sanchez but I love them too much to get rejected!

ALSO I am going to pre order Lostprophets upcoming album The Betrayed soooon! I cannot WAIT for that album!

As my friends know, I am a HUGE Lostprophets fan and I have been waiting on this album for so long.

Ahhhh good times!

Anyhoo best get back to doing work, it's getting late!

Toodles!

January 10th 2010

Once again, sorry for posting this a day late but I seriously have a reason!

I finished my creative writing essay! YAYS! I got the commentary done and now all I have to do is read through the 30 pages and make sure it sounds okay and corrections are corrected etc.

It was snowing late as well so I'm hoping uni isn't shut come Tuesday, as I need to hand my essay in then.

Other than that, that is pretty much all I did. OH and do my usual changing of bed, getting a bath, drying my hair and getting some dinner.

I like to think I had a healthy dinner of tuna mayo and rice. It was very yummy and only took me 10 minutes to make! Scoooore!

Anyhoo that is all I have to post I'm afraid as Sunday's usually don't mean much do they?

New clothes!

Okay this is kind of a haul but without the pictures as I haven't taken any yet.

So on Wednesday and Thursday I ordered some clothes from a catalogue my Mom uses and they arrived on Saturday! Yay!

The first piece is a taffeta puff ball skirt by Fearne Cotton. It's a beautiful midnight blue colour and has an elastic band on the waste, which is black. You have to wear it your hips, otherwise it doesn't look right due to the bottom of the skirt being tightly pulled together. It's hard to describe, so if that doesn't make sense, sorry. But I plan on wearing it the way Fearne Cotton wears it in the picture, with a black jumper or t-shirt. It was £45 but I got it for £14 in the sale. Bargain!

The second piece is an all-in-one playsuitby Peaches Geldolf for PPQ. It's absolutely gorgeous and I am SO glad I ordered it! Basically it is one piece which is a cream and red striped t-shirt, that has long sleeves (YES) and a pair of black shorts, which have pockets (DOUBLE YES). The collar on the t-shirt covers the next, like a jumper would. I can't think of the word (damn), but it's going to be great for all this snow we're getting! When I'd ordered it and was waiting for it to arrive I wondered how I would get it on, would there be a zip or buttons at the back, at the side etc. But when I took it out of the packaging it was indeed a zip and two buttons at the back. There are buttons along the side of where the zip is, to obviously make it look as if it has been buttoned up. There are two cute black bow buttons for the neck part of the t-shirt. They are absolutely adorable! When I tried it on before going to see my boyfriend my Dad said I looked French, which is the new look I would like to achieve for 2010 and for following years. It was £39 but I got it in the sale again for £16. Double bargain!

I will get pictures of the clothes when my final piece arrives, as I don't want to get in trouble for copyright. The other piece of clothing I ordered was the floral jersey t-shirt by Fearne Cotton and I have a feeling that will arrive tomorrow (Monday). Fingers crossed though!

Anyhoo, I shall post pictures of them all as soon as the t-shirt arrives and I'll do a little talk about that tooo.

Toodles for now!

January 9th 2010

Okay, sorry I keep posting my blogs late but I either forget to do it or don't have time to do it before I go to bed.

So I went to my boyfriends Saturday, FINALLY I got to see him!

We had a very relaxing day together and we mostly watched TV and played games. I take my laptop with me to his so I can play FB games while he plays PS3 games. We watched the directors cut of Terminator 2, The Simpsons Movie and Celebrity Big Brother. He's bought Darkside for the PS3 and was showing it me and it reminds us both of Spyro.

We're loving Jonas and Katina in CBB at the moment! We kept taking the piss out of Jonas getting an erection. At one point in the show he was rubbing his stomach and kept going lower and lower and we kept joking about it. After that had happened and it went into the break it seemed to mess up but Adam thought it was his TV so switched ITV and Channel 4 back and forth. After the adverts had finished Mr and Mrs came on and we both pissed ourselves laughing and said "I thought we had Channel 4 on!" Funny moment!

I fell to sleep on Adam's lap during CBB but woke up with a shock. Was obviously a bad dream, but I dunno what it was. Was so strange and ironic that it had happened in Terminator 2 earlier.

When I got home I remember that I wanted to sort my wardrobes out, yes I have two. Two pieces of the clothes I ordered arrived! But I shall do a different blog about those after this one. So keep your eyes peeled if you want to have a read.

So anyhoo my main wardrobe was getting a bit chock a block so I wanted to sort it out. Same with my other wardrobe. I don't use both, one has clothes in I don't wear as often or don't fit me BUT I don't want to chuck 'em out and my other has clothes I wear at the moment.

So anyhoo I sorted out all the stuff in the one I don't want and put it at the bottom of the wardrobe, so when the time is right I can sell or give them away to PDSA or somewhere like that.

I then went on to sort my other wardrobe out and I didn't really have much to do. Just move some of the tops I don't wear as much anymore to my other wardrobe. Some of the clothes in there don't fit me anymore (WAY too big) so they needed moving. I the only time I wear them is when I don't feel very well. I also found a pair of skinny fit jeans that I TOTALLY forgot about! I'd folded them up and put them on the top of my wardrobe as they were beginning to feel TOO tight but since putting them there I lost another stone and I tried them on. They fit pretty nicely, so those are going to be worn next week me thinks!

One thing I am puzzled about is the whereabouts of my Paddington Bear t-shirt! I can't seem to find it and I really want to know where it has gone. I might go and search for it, I don't like the thought that it could have been thrown away.

Anyhoo gunna go write another blog and carry on watching Phoenizx Nights.

Creative writing work

Well, it's getting closer to being finished!

I only have the commentary left to do and more than likely some slight alterations and I'll be done! I'm hoping to get it finished either Saturday night or throughout the day Sunday. I definatly want it done for Monday so I have a day to show it my lecturers.

Now for the rest of the night I intend to watch Ugly Betty, read Company Magazine and possibly post around on forums about random things and fashion.

Ahhh I think 2010 is the year for fashion for me.

Friday 8 January 2010

January 8th 2010

Well, there isn't really much to tell today.

Due to my messed up sleeping pattern I didn't wake up until 2pm and when I did all I did was flick through Company Magazine and start watching Ugly Betty season two.

Today has gone pretty quick for me, seeing as I wasn't doing much. I think the most usefull things I have done today is order a beautiful t-shirt, write these blogs, cook my dinner and get a shower.

Then again, I haven't done anymore work to my creative writing essay yet. After this blog I intend to go and get on with the epilogue and find out the definate word count for the commentary. OH and of course listen/watch Ugly Betty whilst I do it.

I swear to God, I cannot WAIT to get my new clothes in the post! They're supposed to be due on 13th January but I really want the skirt to arrive the day before.

Anyhoo, that's a dream that may or may not come true. I need to go now and do work, which I'll probably keep you all posted on.

January 7th 2010

Sorry this is EXTEMELY late being posted, I've just not felt very well the past few days and I've also been busy with personal and uni work. So here's the post for Thursday!

It's my Mom's birthday today but sadly, due to her having work she couldn't stay at home and celebrate it. We was going to go out and have a meal but due to her having work, that she would have been too tired after work to go out and also because of the snow we're going to do something when the snow has gone away and when she doesn't have work.

Anyhoo, today I decided to hand my essay in a day before it's due date. I decided to because of reports of there being more snow overnight, so I wanted to make sure I could hand it in early instead of worrying of handing it in late and losing marks.

After handing my essay in I went with my Dad to do a few things and stopped off at Iceland on the way home for some things.

Since Wednesday I have been watching Ugly Betty season one again and I finished watching the whole season tonight. I intend to start watching season two tomorrow. I've started to watch Ugly Betty again because my boyfriend has bought me season three for my birthday. I can't wait to watch it again!

Also tonight I got the second chosen chapter from my book written for my creative writing essay. NOW all I have left to do is the epilogue and commentary! I think it's 1,500 words but I need to make sure of this!

Anyhoo that's enough for now!

January 6th 2010

Guess what? It's my birthday today!

I turned 20, so I guess I'm getting old now. In all honesty I wasn't looking forward to today, due to the snow being so heavy that I wasn't able to see my boyfriend or go out and do anything for it. Luckily I got to do one of those.

My Dad and brother got back from the shops with cards for me and they're all beautiful! My Mom's one is very pretty. It's purple with a pretty dressing table on it. My Dad's has a cute kitten in a box on it and it's a baby bluuuue. The one from my brother has flowers on it and a lovely message and one from a friend has Hello Kitty on it! I didn't get many pressies on this actual day due to not seeing people or delivery being slow. My friend bought me some Hello Kitty stuff and my brother gave me £10. My boyfriends bought me Ugly Betty season 3, but it hasn't come in the post yet.

Soooo I decided due to the snow that I would have to stay in. So I put on Ugly Betty season 1 and decided to write down some fashionable clothes I want to get for 2010. But my Dad suggested going out so I quickly turned off Ugly Betty and jumped in the shower.

I decided to dress nicely, as I had a feeling we'd go for something to eat. I put some black tights, denim shorts, black boots, white tunic t-shirt with a HUGE print of a union jack on, my purple beret, huuge red duffle coat, red, white and blue gloves and my union jack scarf.

We went shopping for some food first and then headed over to a nice little pub. The snow made it feel so magical and lovely.

I had yummy Bailey's coffee, which I'll definatly be having again! Me and my Dad couldn't decide on what to eat, so I chose to have some chicken with bacon and melted cheese and chips, so he had the same and ordered extra chips for us to have.

Even though it was just me and my Dad, it felt so lovely to have a meal out for my birthday. I haven't done it since I turned 18 and that was a bit of a nightmare to be honest.

I especially loved taking pictures with my Dad, it was so much fun! Two pictures were of best memory. One picture I went to take a shot from above my head, but he put his finger under my chin so I quickly pulled a face looking at it.

We also had pudding to treat ourselves. I had orange marble cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce and my Dad had apple pie with custard.

It's been so lovely today! I could cry from how great it went, due to me worrying and feeling depressed that it was going to be horribly boring and dull.

I thank all the people who have wished me a Happy Birthday!

To think I still have a while left for my birthday, seeing as it's only 10.18pm. I need to celebrate a bit more!

January 4th 2010

Sorry for posting late, only just had time to post due to creative writing work swamping me all day.

Today has been alright. Had to miss out seeing my boyfriend due to my essay needing to be done and had been pretty sucessful. Nearly finished the chapter, with two of the three parts of the chapter done. Sadly they haven't been very enjoyable to do and I was close to tears on a few occasions. I knew I had to keep strong though, I want Madge to be proud of me so writing this about her is showing the world what a beautiful dog she was and how they missed out on not having the pleasure of meeting her.

Other than that I pretty much chilled out as well. I'm one of these people who HAS to multitask while they do work. I feel weird if I just concentrate on work and don't dot back and forth from Facebook, to MSN, to YouTube. Even iTunes snuck in for some fun, but not for long. Since my first year of university, I can no longer concentrate whilst listening to a film or song while doing essay work. Not even for writing, it just puts me off.

Early hours of the 4th January I read a couple of chapters of Marley & Me and it's such an inspiration for my own book about Madge. I hope to have finished it in the next few weeks so I can get more inspiration for my book.

It's my friend Krystal's birthday on the 5th (Happy Birthday hun!) and she's going to be 21-key of the door. That's a saying by the way, I just had to ask my Dad what it was for aged 21. Loser much?

Anyways, I'm gunna go read some more Marley & Me and hopefully get an earlier nights sleep than usual.

Night all!

Just remembered something

Another resolution I'd like to do this year is go to a festival!

It's going to either be Download, Sonisphere or The Big Chill.

Also, I couldn't see my boyfriend today due to bloody uni work. Annoying much? But at least it will keep my mind at rest that I'm getting it finished for next week when the hand in date is due.

I wanted to show it my tutors beforehand, so fingers crossed I can!

Anyway, this was only a short blog.

Toodles!

More work done!

YAY! I'm so glad my creative writing work is going so smoothly! Even though I'm staying up until late doing my work.

I just finished my 500 word book review for Marley & Me.

I'm planning on getting more books to read this year and here's a short list of some I would like to get.

  • Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell, as I've always wanted to read the book.
  • The Carrie Diaries also by Candace Bushnell as it sounds very interesting.
  • The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger.
  • And last of all Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella.
Anyone notice a pattern that they all have something to do with magazines and fashion?

Think I shall compare prices on websites and then go to bed. It is 3.45am after all!

Sex and the City 2 Movie

OMG I've just seen the trailer for it and I have to type another OMG about it!

Carrie is like a role model! I know she isn't real, but she really is! I think it's from watching Sex and the City over the past 3 or 4 years that has made me think more about fashion and writing than I had before.

There's the trailer is anyones interested.

Just the way Carrie looks as she steps out of that building at the beginning of the video, she looks amazing.

*sighs* Awww I love her and really want to watch SATC now!

Also just realised I need to buy more books this year. Especially fashion ones.

Sunday 3 January 2010

January 3rd 2010

It's Sunday today, the day of rest! I don't really rest on Sunday's though. My routine for every week is to change my bed and get either bath or shower. I really enjoy Sunday's, but today I just couldn't be bothered to do anything.

Due to my crappy sleep pattern at the moment I didn't wake up until 1.30pm. I wanted to finish off my book review for my essay so decided to relax and watch TV for a while. I ended up watched Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Hot Fuzz. After watching those I changed my bed and got a bath. Both were enjoyable to do.

I've got myself into a weekly routine to moisturising more and my boyfriends parents bought me a Nivea Happy Time wash and lotion set. The wash smells amazing and foams up beautifully and the lotion is just amazing. My skin is very strange and doesn't usually work well with most lotions, but I'm so glad the Happy Time one does as it smells gorgeous!

This is the second week of using it and it's made my skin lovely and soft, especially on the tops of my arms.

Anyhoooo other than that Celebrity Big Brother started tonight! The list of celebrities who have gone in are; Alex Reid, Dane Bowers, Heidi Fleiss, Jonas Altberg, Katia Ivanova, Lady Sovereign, Nicola Tappenden, Sisqo, Stephanie Beacham, Stephen Baldwin and Vinnie Jones. So far I like the look of Jonas Altberg, Katie Ivanova, Lady Sovereign and Vinnie Jones. We'll see what happens I suppose!

Think two things that have really made my day today are two Youtube videos.

Dirty Sanchez's Lee Dainton in Wales with the sheep:

And a friend of mine, Claire with Duck!

Other than this, I had Chinese for dinner and it was very yummy!

So until later if I think of anymore to write, laterz!

January 2nd 2010

I know it's already the 3rd (because it's 3amish here) but I haven't really had time to post until now because of uni work, which is pretty much all I have to talk about today. OH and fashion stuff too!

So basically I'm working very late into the night to try and get a first on my creative writing essay. I've got to do two chapters for a memoir I'm writing about my dog Madge, 1,500 word commentary about those two chapters, a 500 word book review, a magazine article and 1,000 word commentary for that.

So far I've done one chapter, my magazine article and the commentary for it. I started the book review earlier but really wasn't in the mood to carry on with it, so I'm going to carry on with it throughout the day today. If I get time I'm going to start the next chapter too.

Other than work, I was occupied at one point with the GORGEOUS clothes that New Look are selling online at the moment. I'm really getting in French/nautical fashion at the moment. It just looks so smart and crisp looking, basically something for any occasion! I just can't wait to get money as I might order in bulk ALL the stuff I have listed that I want. Depends, I'm going to see of course.

I want a new pair of boots too. I bought some ankle boots in September or October time and they're lovely an' all but I want some flat ones I can wear around in the day. Once again, New Look has some gorgeous ones.

I'd post links of the clothes I want, but I don't want the worry of copyright etc.

Anyhoo that's your lot for tonight as I'm actually tired for once, so I might get a cup of tea and sleep. I have quite a lot of do when I wake up, Sunday is never a day of rest for me.

Night/morning all!

My January Desktop

This is for my laptop, my computers desktop wallpaper is my dog Madge and I wanted something relevent and cute and this just ticks both boxes!

I love Hello Kitty, so this wallpaper is great! Obviously due to my laptop being bigger than 800x600 Only the top half of that picture works, but that doesn't bother me tooo much!

I love it!

Friday 1 January 2010

January 1st 2010

Coming into the new year was pretty interesting. The countdown on the BBC finished and the fireworks looked pretty. As soon as they finished me and my boyfriend watched Moon and it was really good! You'd have to watch it instead of me explaining what happens. David Bowie's son wrote and directed it, which is pretty cool.

Anyway back onto today! Me and the boyfriend didn't wake up until about 1.30pm... Well, we didn't go to sleep until 5am! We had our reasons. We snacked on the last lot of BBQ Pringles and chilled out for a while before putting TV on. Without sounding stupid, I seriously cannot remember what we watched!

I just realised that this post isn't going to be very entertaining, so I apologise!

We watched Confessions Of A Shopaholic, as I was in the mood to watch it and am DYING to go to the sales to shop. Sadly I don't have any money to do this, so as soon as I get some I intend to go shopping for some new clothes.

I've already seen a dress from boohoo.com that I want! It's so cute and not that much in price.

I've seen loads of clothes on Empire that I want too. I'm crossing fingers my sizes in 3 things I REALLY want come back in stock sooon!

I want a new look for 2010 but I'm not sure what. Smart would be good, but with a hint of diiirty smart with it too. I dunno, that's pretty much how I am now I think!

I think the only flaw about today has been the Dr Who fans. Fair play them being upset about David Tennant leaving but please don't spam my Facebook about it. It's so annoying. I could rant more about this but I don't want to offend the Dr Who fans, I prefer them to Twilight fans.

My Mom cooked beef for dinner today and seeing as my boyfriend stayed over the night he had a dinner too. It was amazzzzing! We were going to have some ice cream for after but we didn't bother and watched the rest of COAS.

He's gone home now and I have Big Fat Quiz Of The Year 2009 to keep me company! There's Russell Brand, Jonathan Ross, Rob Brydon, Claudia Winkleman, David Mitchell and Charlie Brooker. It's so funny and Jimmy Carr keeps doing his strange laugh. If David Mitchell and Rob Brydon were on a team together I would support them all the way! They need to bring Noel Fielding back with Russell Brand, that's the only time Russell is funny.

I need to get a new calendar too! My wall where I usually put it is BARE and it's so strrange! I'm not sure whether to get a Hello Kitty one or a Poodle one again. Whichever takes my fancy when I go to buy it.

Other than this I intend to relax with my Chococat plushie for the night and as soon as I wake tomorrow I'll either go out and get myself a calendar or do my uni work, as it's in on the 12th January.

Toodles!
